TME Retreats Dhigurah is a three star luxury and stylish beach hotel with all modern conveniences. Designed for maximum privacy, the hotel is located a little bit away from the village, yet close enough to walk and enjoy the island lifestyle of Maldives. Just a few meters away from the white sandy beach with a length of more than 3 km, you can have all the relaxation and enjoyment at the beach.

Dhigurah, (meaning long island) is in Alifu Dhaalu atoll, about 20 minutes by plane from the capital, Male’. The island is narrow but 3 km in length which is considered to be a reasonably long island in the Maldives. With more than 3 km of natural white sandy beach, it is also considered to be a beautiful inhabited island.

With a population of about 600, Dhigurah has all the necessary facilities for human habitation, a school, medical centre and a generous harbor. The population is concentrated on a small area in the north of the island and the rest is mostly for fruit and vegetable gardening and natural vegetation.

Nearby have some of the most famous dive spots in the country, such as Kuda Rah Thila, Manta Point and Reethi Thila. Dhigurah is also around the corner from the whale-shark watching locations.

The life on Dhigurah is simple. The people are friendly and always ready to lend you a hand. Many of the residents work at the nearby resorts while others are mainly involved in fishing, masonry, carpentry and agriculture. It takes less than 15 minutes to walk across the village.

The kitchen and dining facilities are available to use with an extra charge, only for those who pay the whole bungalow.
